Stick-It ® Self-Adhesive Lampshade Material Pre Slit Strips

Created to benefit professional lampshade makers with production of multiple lampshades, our NEW Stick-It® Self-Adhesive Lampshade Material Strips  are precision cut 25 metre strips of our popular white Stick-It ® Self-Adhesive Lampshade Material.


Our Pre-Slit Strips are easy to handle and remove the need for cutting self-adhesive lampshade panels to size by hand, meaning more efficient and consistent lampshade making.


Available in fourteen widths, ranging from 10cm to 70cm, find your perfect size to make repeat batches of your best selling lampshade depths or for using with different diameters of lampshade ring sets.


To replicate the depth of the Stick It® panels found in our Needcraft Drum Lampshade Making Kits, we’ve included this popular size, 210mm, in our Pre-Slit Strips too. Simply reel off the required length, cut to size, and apply your chosen fabric or paper, to save time and reduce waste.

Convenient Handling

Our NEW Stick-It® Self-Adhesive Lampshade Material Pre-Slit Strips are both easy to use and easier to store, whether you choose to stack them or even hang, for simpler release from the roll. Additionally, our shorter widths of Pre-Slit Strips are lighter in weight compared to a 25m roll of Stick-It ® - Self-Adhesive Lampshade Material, bringing down the cost of postage.



How to Create a Kisscut

For makers who use a kisscut - a pre-scored line in the top and bottom edges of a regular lampshade PVC panel - which when removed creates a seam allowance of fabric to create a professional Rolled Edge, our Pre-Slit Strips are supplied without this.


To recreate the same process, a kisscut can be added separately by purchasing a Self-Adhesive PVC (Rolled Edge) Strip.


1. After applying your required length of Pre-Slit Strip to you fabric or paper covering, align the Self-Adhesive PVC Rolled Edge Strip (15mm) to the top and bottom edge.




2. Cut along the outer edge of the kisscut, on the top and bottom of the panel.




3. Carefully remove the kisscut strip to leave the required fabric margins for tucking under your lampshade rings to create a clean, professional rolled edge finish.



For makers who prefer to cut their rolled edge margins by eye, simply adhere your required length of Pre-Slit Strip to your fabric or paper and cut round, leaving a margin of at least 15mm along the top and bottom edge.

If you need a width that’s not listed in our range, we can precision cut bespoke sizes on our slitting machine in our factory in Waltham Abbey. It’s worth noting that our minimum supply length is 25 metres and please contact us at info@dannells.com, so we can provide you with a bespoke quotation.
