As our Needcraft Lampshade Making Kits hit American shores, to say we’re excited is an understatement! Already hugely popular in the UK and Europe, US customers will now be able to purchase our US Lampshade Making Kits directly from Amazon.com and we can’t wait to see what fabulous lampshades our state side customers will create!
For newbie American lampshade makers, we've ensured that everything you need to make up your first lampshade is in the box, leaving you to simply choose a stand out fabric or wallpaper for your outer shade covering. Whether it's a fabric that's being sat in your fabric stash or left overs from curtain or cushion making, as long as it's a woven fabric, you're ready to make your very own lampshade!
By converting our most popular sizes into imperial measurements, our US kits can now be purchased in single 8", 10", 12", 14", 16" and 18" kits and if you’re keen to make a pair of lampshades, Twin Packs, as pictured below are also available too.
US light fittings
Designed and manufactured in Britain, our US kits contain the same professional quality components and materials as our UK lampshade making kits, which equal any lampshade you'd find in a store. The US kits have the added bonus of working with three different light fittings - US, UK and Uno.
The US light fitting adaptor, included in the kit, makes the conversion to a US light fitting quick and easy so your lampshade will work with the US harp and finial system, as a table light. Or if you'd prefer to make a pendant lampshade to hang from the ceiling, the kit will also work with a either a spider fitting or the more common Uno light fitting.
