Meeting Joanna!

One of our wonderful customers, Joanna Heptinstall is an upholsterer and lampshade maker who works from her own garden based studio in Wiltshire. From there she creates bespoke lampshades for her customers including interior designers.

Joanna’s work has appeared in national magazines and she has recently launched The Lampshade School, where she teaches classes in traditional lampshade making techniques. She also teaches at Denman, the WI headquarters in Oxfordshire.

I recently had the pleasure of meeting Joanna and hearing all about her work and  upcoming projects. she is a busy lady with a passion for what she does and it really shows. I left our chat feeling inspired and I just had to spread the word!

This is just a taster: I will be running a full feature on Joanna’s magical creations in the weeks to come with an insight into her creative business life and tips from a lady who has tried and tested the lampshade market- Watch this space!
